A death investigation has been launched after a Ford Edge collided with a tow truck shortly before 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 5 on Plum Point Road near Kimberly Lane in Huntingtown.
Deputies were called to the site of the head-on crash, where they found two men suffering from injuries.
According to the Calvert County Sheriff's Office, paramedics rushed one man from the crash to CalvertHealth, where he later died from his injuries, and another was taken to the hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Plum Point Road was temporarily closed in both directions as investigators reconstructed the crash.
No details about either driver was released. More information is expected to be released.
